3rd European Conference on Prokaryotic Genomics, 7-10 October 2007 Goettingen, Germany

Most of the genome research on prokaryotic organisms in Germany is currently performed within the framework of the three German GenoMik-Plus networks, which are funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and have their centers located in Goettingen, Bielefeld and Wuerzburg.

The GenoMik networks launched a series of conferences dealing with the rapidly evolving field of prokaryotic genome analysis in 2003. The 3rd European Conference on Prokaryotic Genomics (ProkaGENOMICS 2007) will be held on 7-10 October 2007 at the Georg-August-University Goettingen, Germany. This meeting will be an excellent occasion to review the current state of prokaryotic genome research.
